I have used at least 20 years of my life experimenting with fads, pills, and extremes, while following society's and even doctor's "beauty and fitness" standards, and all it got me was... [drum roll] my dream body, a free cruise vacation, and all of my problems solved!?
uhh no, of course not.
Instead, I suffered from chronic anxiety, depression, hormonal imbalances, a negative relationship with food, body insecurities, metabolic issues, and a struggling thyroid. All because I did not know better, was naive and not educated. Lots of tears, frustration, self-loathing, mental growth, awareness and studying later, I still deal with most of these health problems on a daily or regular basis.
The biggest difference now?
I take no medication to manage my illnesses. I fully appreciate and love my body in every stage. I have proper balance between home and gym life. I understand and enjoy the foods that are right for me. I have a plan when I train, and I move with purpose. I recognize mental health as a first priority. No numbers or shallow standards rule my life, as I see myself worthy and valuable all on my own.
Yes, the difference is incredible, and I want to share! Here's the short of what I have learned from my health history: most workout plans and diets do not give you lasting results because they simply do not have the pleasure of knowing or understanding you or your body first. They give you a basic plan that they also will give to the ancient cat lady next door, your dear old dad, your niece's best friend, the goldfish...you get the picture.
Sure, these copy and paste guides can certainly create some subtle changes or even drastic ones initially that seem positive and motivating, but do these changes actually work for you and with you on a regular and daily basis? Is it something you enjoy or is it a chore? Is it something that is adaptable if schedule, work, family, life, changes? Is it something you can continue and see progression with on your own? All good questions. I know because I've asked them, and I've happily answered.
Bottom line is:
Without a change in your routine that is life-long, you will simply not get results that are life-long.
Health is personal. It's that simple. With MamaBeast we get down to the nitty-gritty. We get to bad habits and excuses. We get to root causes. We get to emotional and mental health. We get to the flawed systematic beliefs and society's standards. We get to balance and boundaries. Yes, with me we will ACTUALLY be changing your body, your mindset, and your life. Because I make it personal, like it should be. I can't promise you there will be an easy way out, but I can promise you I will be there every step of the way.
